Billy on the Street Celebrates Three Years on TV!

Three years ago this month we began production on Funny or Die’s Billy on the Street with Billy Eichner. To celebrate, we made this video! Thanks for watching and for all the support! Enjoy!

Joining an esteemed list of published authors including Joyce Carol Oates, Isaac Asimov, Mark Twain and Eva Longoria, actor/comedian Billy Eichner is excited to announce he’ll be writing his first, as-yet-untitled book, to be published by Grand Central Publishing, a division of Hachette Book Group USA. The Emmy nominated host and creator of Funny or Die’s acclaimed comedy game show Billy On the Street and a recurring actor on Parks and Recreation, Eichner promises to bring his original and absurdly hilarious take on pop culture to the masses with a debut book as hysterical and unpredictable as an episode of Billy On the Street.

Withholding further details for now, Eichner does tease that the book will contain “an irreverent look at Hollywood and pop culture that you can find literally anywhere else.” Ben Greenberg, Executive Editor at Grand Central, who acquired the book in a preempt, adds, “We’d like to say it will contain an irreverent look at Hollywood and pop culture that you can’t find anywhere else but that wouldn’t be accurate.” Not widely known as an author, Eichner admits to being an avid reader and says some of his favorite books are Twitter, Entertainment Weekly, The Hollywood Reporter and emails. Eichner says, “I’m very excited to start writing and I can assure my fans they will love the book more than Shailene Woodley loves Tom’s of Maine. This book is for anyone obsessed with show business, pop culture, social media and lots of other fun topics that fill our days as we hurtle helplessly towards accidents, illness, infidelity and death.”
